About Maggie James
I’m a British author who lives in Bristol and writes psychological suspense novels. In 2016 I accepted a publishing deal with Amazon’s Lake Union imprint, which has involved the republication of my first novel, His Kidnapper’s Shoes. In addition, Lake Union have now published my sixth fiction title, After She’s Gone. I believe this will be a very positive move for my writing career, and I am delighted to have taken this step.
I have also signed contracts with Bloodhound Books for the republication of Guilty Innocence, Sister Psychopath and The Second Captive, all of which were released in 2017.
Before turning my hand to writing, I worked mainly as an accountant, with a diversion into practising as a nutritional therapist. Diet and health remain high on my list of interests, along with travel. Accountancy does not, but then it never did. The urge to pack a bag and go off travelling is always lurking in the background! When not writing, going to the gym, practising yoga or travelling, I can be found seeking new four-legged friends to pet; animals are a lifelong love!

Please note that, as much as I love helping other authors, I can’t read your manuscript or offer advice on your writing career. Thanks!
